Fitness Tip: 4 - Scoop out the pressure cooked

How many times in a week do you use pressure cooker?  Right! It depends on what we bought in the week and intend to eat. Very well, if I were to ask - How many times have you scooped out food directly from cooker for your meal? (Irrespective of number of times you use pressure cooker).

Aahhh!!! J The number would be either zero or pretty less. Then here’s the trick to our next being fit and healthy tip. Scoop out veggies or lentils from the cooker to your table. Perhaps it is best taste of retained nutrients and healthy food.

Whenever you cook lentils in pressure cooker, you tend to cook just the lentils (from general observation) but I tend to cook onions, tomatoes, green chilies, lentils and salt – altogether!

I feel there is absolutely no necessity of frying onions, tomatoes & chilies and spoiling the whole fun until you adore and cannot resist frying. Again, that depends on your flexibility. For me the work gets easier and healthier. Here's a picture of my meal that is straight away scooped out from pressure cooked and I enjoy it much more than fried.

Ohh!! Steaming hot so visible in pic J

However, my husband likes it fried, so I fry cumin seeds and other itty bitty stuff that we generally do and serve him (only after I have taken my share)J.

Here are few more instances of scooped out meals J

Next time try scooping out food from cooker and trust me it tastes better than fried – that’s my take J. I think sometimes we should give up the mighty tastes and flavors in exchange for good health.
Have a healthy day!
