Few pointers on “Packing”!

So I decided to pen down again at least to begin with my new section Travelogue and will keep updating other sections too as time permits J

Before any travel post discussion, the main aspect comes out to be “Packing”. This is the first thing that every one of us does and believe it to be better, presentable, nicely tucked in the bags. So that, you don’t end up embarrassing yourself at the check in section and shelling out dollars for the extra jeans or jacket you have squeezed in.

Here are the few pointers:
1.      Check weather conditions of the destination you are travelling to:  Check it a day or two before you travel if the destination is likely to have fluctuating weather.

2.      Pick up your clothes accordingly: I had planned to wear this white skirt twice. However, in my back of my mind I knew it this wouldn’t last more than a day because Yellowstone was certainly going to be chillier in the mornings and evenings. So I picked up a sleeveless top “orange” color that could with one of the jeans too J or safe bet you can go with neutral colors too.

3.      Repeat the bottoms but multiply the tops: Yes! Have a bottom say Jeans, leggings, skirts, trousers or shorts repeated with the different tops. Like shown below, hmm pictures does say more than words J

4.      Warm Clothing: If you know the weather of your destination going to be chilly. Then prefer jackets, scarves, gloves. I was in dilemma to carry blue or white jacket. If on long vacation always carry darker jackets. You don’t want end up cluttering you teeth in cold mornings and evenings but just spoiling you light colored jacket J

5.      Must Carry:  First-Aid Box, your toiletries (if particular like me) and make up bag. Yeah I did not pull out my MAC kit on the pic. Prefer 2 lipsticks – 1 lighter shade and other darker. If you are heading for more than 3 to 4 days, you bet want to carry your ironer or curler to make the hair look fresh and better styled at least at the beginning of the days.

6.      When coming onto shoes, I was bonded with my biker boots. Those were the best to beat the chilly weather, best for hiking and long trails involved, and a pair of ballerina shoes that came handy when I wanted to feel light J. Best part ballerinas do not take more space in your bag J

7.      Handbag: Carry one handbag until unless you are more into making fashion statements. If you are then I would suggest you to carry the medium or small sized messenger bags to accommodate your phone, cash, jewelry and other important things. That will strike a perfect balance between making statement and common sense! J

In case I have missed mentioning anything important. Please feel free to add those on comments J it will be logged under this post.

Hope this forms a basic foundation of packing. Of course the good news was when I worked accordingly for my husband and myself. We did not cross the permitted weight and the vacation went perfect. J

All the best for you next vacation!

Long break or Break Away?? - Ain't Decided!

Yes! I did stop writing 2 months ago. My bad! I did not notify it neither on my blog nor my FB page; that isn’t existing anyway. However, it isn’t easy to encourage oneself and carry out writing. Especially a person like me who loves to get into many things J.
Pressure gets on me to carry out multiple things and I end up giving up one of them. Very well, then what am I doing here again. I guess this time my husband just inspired me to take it easy, take a break and get back if you like to.

He penned down his first post on his blog http://merisochmerevichar.blogspot.com. He is more into Mythological analysis and relating it to western era for a bridging up the gap. Check out if you like to.

I am also thinking to share my Travelogue section *have been thinking about this long ago* I guess this will make me involve in more of writing. J However, I am still thinking if I should break away or continue writing. While I am still pondering over it; let me chip in here and there to inspire you and make my day too J

For inspiration in reducing weight check out my latest pic J. Many told me I lost a lot well here it is quantified and visualised too J.

Have a happy weekend!

And just an excuse to get away with!

Like I mentioned in my earlier post, looking into your past photographs surely inspires you to keep moving – If you were overweightJ. In case, you were slim enough then I still suggest keep on the comparison. This surely makes you feel what you were? , Where you are heading? Is it good to be here? And where do you want to be? Few juggles of questions and pictures are surely a booster.

Last Year this day – 26th June, we visited Payson in Arizona. This was the time when I felt I was over board on weight and frame. Looking at the pictures made me felt ridiculous of myself. Like you can see I was way too broad when compared to now. I surely like the difference now!! 2nd Picture is from early this month clicked just before dinner with friends!

Here is where I would like to point out the usual statement pours in when a person is putting on weight – “He/She has got broad structure you see, hence this is not overweight but the structure”. "She/He has got a good height, you can afford to have extra 10lbs on".
Trust me!! I am not buying these statements anymore. I was under same impression that I am broad till I got myself back. I was told that I have a good height and broad structure but that doesn’t mean you can have the liberty to put on weight (20 to 30 pounds more than your ideal weight??) No way!!!

Please do not confuse your figure with the tolerance of muscle and fat on it you can have.  Yes! The structures of every person vary as we know the different types of body structure. The frame is generally understood by comparing 2 things – Shoulders and Hip! You can fall under any of the frames below.

But “broad, wide, good height, you can afford to” Please stay away from these excuses and work towards perfect health, ideal body weight and healthy lifestyle.

 Good luck!

Cantaloupe Milkshake with Raspberries!

Scorching summer reminds me of few things: Cotton, Floral and Fruits! It’s 5 in the evening, too hot to get out of the house and I need a chilled drink to cool myself down.

Here’s is my savior: Cantaloupe Milkshake Topped with Raspberries!

This is a best way to cool yourself down, fill your empty stomach, a perfect snack for people who are on diet and best way to beat your sugar craving!
Preparation:
-          Halved Cantaloupe
-          1 cup of crushed ice
-          2 cups of Fat Free Milk
-          Handful of Raspberries
Blend the first 3 things.
Serve it in a glass and top it with Raspberries. Yes! I am aware that many of us crave for sugar but I am balancing it out with Raspberries. This way I am keeping myself away from Sugar and can fulfill my sweet craving with sweet and soft raspberriesJ.

Calorie Count:

My take is - less than 120 Calories per serving. However, the best thing to notice is its - fruits and fat free milk. J You can bottoms up 2 of them and survive the whole evening J

Cheers!!
