By now you must have known about
me that I am more into Greens, Ayurveda and natural products. I was always a
big fan of Body Shop products back in India. This spring I have decided to
revamp my bathing products, bringing those natural scrubs and soaps back to
habit (still wondering why I waited so long). Anyway, since that summer is just
next door, it is the time to replace those heavy moisturizing cream to lighter
ones and adding few scrubs in the box.
Considering the fact that “90% of
the dust in your home is dead skin cells” – Yeah I was surprised too. We should
be looking after our skin to get rid of those dead skin cells and allow our
pores to breathe. How is this possible? By Exfoliating!
“Exfoliating the body not just
the face”: That’s right! You make an appointment in a parlor for your monthly facials
and you are relaxed that yes! I am doing a good job by taking care of the appearance.
But are you really? It is the time to extend the exfoliation from face to body. Here’s a link that I highly
recommend going through. It clearly explains tools to use and how to exfoliate
your body - a step by step procedure. Here it is!!
I did quite a lot of research before
I bought any new habit in my bath room. Body scrubs, you will find a never
ending list of scrubs. But “Spa Wisdom Africa Ximenia & Salt Scrub” topped
the chart. After trying my hands on it - I am sure that it’s going to be good
habit and green from side for this product.
Spa Wisdom Africa Ximenia &
Salt Scrub:
It’s best for all skin types,
particularly those with dry skin who need to exfoliate regularly.
How does it work: Community Trade organic beeswax
moisturizes and conditions skin while acting as a barrier to help seal in
moisture. Community Trade shea butter moisturizes and softens skin. Salt grains
gently exfoliate skin. Ximenia, an oil extracted from the ximenia tree native
to Africa, helps soften the skin Ain’t those words bliss to ears?? J
Do try your hands on this Scrub.
Body Shop has got some nice offers to grab. So the price gets slashed too.
The next product that I
highly recommend is
Vitamin E Moisture Mask of Body Shop:
“Sink some antioxidant Vitamin E
into your skin. Bring skin back to optimum moisture level with this intensely
hydrating mask”. – ahh how better can
this get! I surely needed something like this one as I feel very light on my
skin, non-greasy and it gets better in sun. When I don’t have put up with those
heavy moisturizers. The pricing is very close to that of a scrub but it’s worth
it.
Couple of weeks ago, this is what
I bought J a complete package of products that worth 200USD.
The discounts made it better by getting us that entire package in half Price.
Shea Shower Cream has always been my favorite. I am happy to get it back in my
regular use. It also includes few Men products, I wanted my husband to try them and the results are quite positive J
MACA Root
Shaving cream was a brilliant choice. A pinch of that cream does all the magic
and lasts long of course. As mentioned on Body Shop: It’s Best if he wants to:
Experience a closer shave with a rich, skin-softening cream that protects his
skin from nicks, cuts and irritation.
How does it
work: Peruvian maca root and creatine energize and help boost skin vitality.
Community Trade Brazil nut oil and Community Trade sesame oil moisturize and
soften skin. Community Trade aloe vera soothes and hydrates sensitive skin.
You can find
all Men’ Skin Care Products here .
There are some interesting offers
running in stores. It’s worth checking out once. Below was a good deal to get
hands on during Mother’s Day Special - 3 deluxe body butter in reusable tin at 18
USD original price is 10USD each i.e 30 USD for a 3 body butter pack.
Now, with this experience I have
officially fallen in love with the Body Shop products again.
Have a good day!
