Life as we know or do we really know?

I drafted 3 posts yet I was left unsatisfied. I was looking for something that’s got to be better to pen down. I kept thinking, writing, deleting, re drafting. Couldn’t get through anything better and suddenly before good night sleep there it was. Bingo!! This might sound little philosophical or may be blah blah blah ..to many of us. Obviously, because we have forgotten the essence of life J

We humans are so strongly bound to the tangibles that we have dedicated every minute of our life to it. There is absolutely nothing wrong in shopping ladies J we love clothes, shoes, makeup, music, pubs, electronic devices, many other things, we love social networking websites, we share, discuss, post and re post the same posts that we see on our pages. And if suddenly you hear a voice that says… “Hey there! You just got a month left to live your life”. Instantly, you would feel a strong punch in your stomach and start thinking. “Damn!! I wasted so much of my time!!! I want to live life; I want to see the world”! Now you are talking.

What did you say? You wasted your time? So you knew it! Aaahh!!! That’s the beauty of a human being. We know everything we do. We know what is good and bad. We can differentiate between necessity and desires. Then why don’t we change ourselves. Hmm… perhaps we are accustomed to these things. We are lost in the tangles of network and technology. We have forgotten the days we spent smelling flowers, running behind butterflies, observing beetles; analyzing how those ants maintained their queue, dancing in rains (come on don’t tell you did not, you always did along with those toads), tasting every leaf of trees around you, spoiling birds nest just to see how did those eggs look like? You always considered yourself to be a great gardener of your family. “Those were days!!” This has become a very usual dialogue from people of my generation (Born in 80s).

What has changed? You have changed! Yes you, you have modified your priorities, you have become so tangible lover that you have forgotten what intangibles felt like. It’s alright to be a part of social networking sites. But it’s not alright to spend hours on it. It’s not alright to spend your every precious weekend in a pub, restaurant (Eat to live not the other way round), shopping mall, movies, television, browsing through websites without thinking what you actually are looking for. It’s not alright to be obsessed with anything tangible. Not acceptable at all! This is not how our parents lived their life. You have seen it with your eyes.

So next time you spend your time on something unworthy, lame, gives you no good feeling. Think of spending it in a beautiful green place where you hear chirping birds, flowing waters, feeling the snow on your cheeks, gazing at the sunrise or sunset, watching the kids playing, spending the best ever relaxed moments with you loved ones. This is life we should be talking about.

By this what I mean is we should restrict our time to tangibles. Spend your time as per the worthy of things. Hence, they always taught us; spend your time wisely J because the environment does consist of many components that need no much attention of ours. With this thought my husband and I have started to have “an internet off day on every Sunday”.

Try making slight changes in your routine, go for a walk, feel the breeze, enjoy the nature. Nothing in this world will ever have the ability and content to replace the beauty of nature. Give importance to your desires. You desired to go around the globe, make for it.  You desired to spend time with your loved ones, go for it. Smallest are the years and smaller are the months. If there is anything large it’s the day, TODAY!

Have a lovely day my friends!
